Fool Moon

Fool Moon
"Waiting" By Foolmoon EP
is quite an unpretentious collection of five what I would call Alternative Rock songs, there is nothing very unusual or spectacular about the songs. Quiet verses are followed by powerful choruses in the approved fashion. I will say the band or the mixing engineer went for a rather - in my opinion - unusual drum sound, with a very clear and boxy snare standing out and crash cymbals almost nonexistent. I found this sound both intriguing and well fitting.
Outstanding also the haunting quality of the (male) lead vocals, that have the power to paint a picture with just a few lines of lyrics and simple melodies.
Catchy guitar riffs worm their way into your subconscious and stay there lingering after the music stops.
My favourite track is "Wasted" for sure, the middle one, an exciting song with lots of musical tension building up. "Sunbeam" and "Shelter" have a more dreamy quality while "Waiting" is a powerful opener.
Pleasing-to-the-eye artwork rounds off this very attractive product
