Once in a while you come across a band you think will go far - well I had this experience just recently and want to share it.
HardCrush is the name of the band -- I was listening to their performance of some selected all- time favorites, music by the Foo Fighters, Dave Mathews and more, all in the band´s individual style...
HardCrush deliver a transparent, fresh and crisp rock sound, their performance shows off a lot of technical skills - displayed lightly and effortlessly - as well as a very marked sensibility for the music they are playing. ..You can hear their love for what they are doing... as they keep to a straight-from-the-gut tight groove ... music for the heart, the body and the mind, in fact.
Nothing outstanding so far you think? Not until you come to their ages; the oldest member, lead vocalist Evan Roberts, is only sixteen while their lead guitarist Geva Shinar is incredibly just twelve years. Bands that young usually provoke comments of them being promising, but with HardCrush you feel the promises have already been fulfilled, and you start wondering -- what will they come up with next?
Next of course should be a release of original songs, and I am really eager to get my hands on it as soon as it´s done. Until then I can only recommend you check them out live whenever you can!
